It's amazing how a car can get you through the day.
If I'm not working I'm at school, and if I'm not at school odds are it's homework time. Sleep comes rare to me. However, for all these days of mine, the drive between destinations is often the best part of my day.
My 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT is not the best car in the world, but it's my car, and a rather good one at that. The pull is decent for a car this old and in this class, especially in the first half of the set of gears. The power band kicks in right around 3,000 rpm.
It handles fairly well, though on some of the bumpy roads around my house it becomes somewhat uncomfortable. I can thank the low profile tires and the harder sports suspension for that one.
I do wish it had overdrive for cruising at 65+ mph, but even without that, if I don't drive like a teenager, I can manage close to 30 mpg, averaged between highway and city. Perks of living in the country, maybe?
The sound system is nice, the interior makes me smile, and the cargo space is more than enough for me. I sort of just ignore the rear seats for the most part, if i'm honest. Then again though, not too many coupes have much space in the back anyway.
Oh, and did I mention Top Gear approved it back in the day? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTHO3KrKl2g
There also happens to be one of the best support groups on facebook for this car, as well as a seperate forum dedicated just to this car.

I feel lucky sometimes to be one of the owners.
